Production, collaboration and exposition.
A three pronged attack of thematic ideals.
We bring you one of our Machine Label artists, playing live, representing PRODUCTION.
We bring you two favourite dj’s bound together and playing as one, representing COLLABORATION.
We bring you a first time player at Machine, a unique and captivating dj, representing EXPOSITION.
PRODUCER Enclave delivers a live set after his highly anticipated and well received latest release on Machine Label, we are joined by Enclave. The live component at Machine is something we strive to offer and, in this case, deliver upon. The bedrock of the techno sound our live artists and production technicians are responsible for the tracks that become our collective soundtrack. We are rapt to showcase Enclave and celebrate his latest offering to the world of techno music...
COLLABORATORS Chiara & Dj Kiti need no introduction individually as both have graced the Machine airspace on more than one occasion. It is slightly unfair to group them together in some kind of definition, but there are notable similarities: the sense of the room when they play is encompassing, they are articulate in their range and they speak fluently more than one sound. They are able to elevate the mood and create energy on the floor with a swinging, driving, hypnotic tech funk. Together as we present them on this occasion they merge into a tag team tour de force; pushing one another, supporting one another to bring it ever deeper, darker and better than before.
EXPOSITION: DJ Juan Tellez: hailing from New Zealand, Juan Tellez is a recent addition to the Australian music tapestry. Having joined the Machine day of fury at the BBB dome at Rainbow Serpent this year, we saw first hand what Juan is all about: seamless, sweeping soundscapes, somehow dreamy and somehow driving, textural and guttural, composed with the precision of an architect and spitting venom like a viper. We are very excited to have Juan for his Machine debut.
Andrew Till and Simon Slieker: the United force behind this barrelling Machine. Andrew with his signature of creeping tempest techno, swirling and rising like a weather pattern, and just as inexorable. Simon with a range of jack'n heave ho, heavenly drones, and the locked rhythms of shoe gaze fantasy. Together they bring the effort and energy to showcase, highlight and host this machine night of good techno loving.
6 individual artists, in one night where individual differences are less important to the ways in which we are the same.
