So the Machine Saturday series keeps coming. Saturday October 24 we're back with another exciting first. Whilst Melbourne has been smouldering away, enjoying it's claim to the techno rights of Australia, something big has been happening on our far west coast. Duo MOT3K have been rolling out some serious levels of productivity on the techno production front, and DJ'ing meanwhile for a lazy 20 years. Apparently it takes a while for us to take notice over here, but once we do we're happy to shout about it. So we're forecasting an upcoming MOT3K EP on Machine Label, and to celebrate they will be attending our October party and showing us all why they've already been heralded on over 10 labels worldwide. These guys have the goods. Very exciting stuff. (See bio below)
Meanwhile we're rapt to bring you the sounds of QUALÉ for the first time back to Machine since 2014. From his early days as the front man behind Tchupa Tchup, and lately When the Smoke Clears, also as one half of the dynamic Wing Man duo (Ranjit Nijjer the other half). It is safe to say Quale's star has risen and as multiple crews clamour for their 2 bits, we would like to further our entitlement; for Quale has graced the Machine set of controls on multiple sorties. Hailing from France, with a good degree of the French about him, as one would expect, Quale, has come across from vinyl and made good with the digital tech. Now his sets are delivering on the promise of the new dawn, and they are well worth hearing: bristling with all the tension and the incumbent, gnashing teeth menace of a darker time in techno, and, somewhat romantically, dripping with love and light. Only the French eh? Oui.
Bringing up the rear or the front, or both, are the Machine stalwarts, bulwark bookends, sonic deliverers, true believers, crowd pleasers, and career electronic nurturers: two of the elder statesmen of Australian techno, with a combined total of 583 years of professional experience: Andrew Till and Simon Slieker.
In summary. Machine October is going to be really good. You should come. Check out the lasers. And the smoke and smoking techno on true Funktion One PA>
