"…to the horses" Came the cry. "For the wagons have departed."
It's all over bar the shouting, and the thunderous pounding begins once more...
Something like that, to signify the year that was, and to trumpet the year to come.
We, Andrew Till and Simon Slieker, thank you, for the unbridled passion and incredible patronage Machine has enjoyed this past year. Over 12 months of great internal change for us, where we now stand united in our efforts behind Machine club and label, and operate as a combined force of two. Between us we tally just under 50 years professional experience in electronica. And we'd suggest this does actually account for something. Lots of years of making mistakes and refining and getting better.
We have a view to treating people well, taking nothing for granted and, mostly, delivering on that old promise to keep quality, aesthetic and some kind of techno essence alive in all that we do. Apparently you feel us, because we've just enjoyed the biggest and best attended Machine year of Machine's life.
This is all good and well, but it matters little, if anything at all, without the support of the producers, dj's and artists who have consistently and vibrantly stood with us over the year, and really, in reality, underwritten what we do, like a talent based insurance policy. It's humbling.
Thank you.
December is the celebration and summation of all of this, the year that was and the year to be.
And there are some milestones to knock out with this one...
We celebrate the 20th release on Machine Label with the launch of the new Linas EP, SYMBOL. This release is enormous, receiving incredible feedback after a limited promo run, and we're excited to see it hit the dance floor for real.
For the lineup of this party we're keeping it simple. Lush sets from core players:
LINAS - live - SYMBOL EP launch Kiti Andrew Till Simon Slieker
Honorary mention to Christmas and silly season. At some stage this party was going to focus on that, but it turned out there was a whole bunch of real and pressing accolades that seem to us, far more worthy and relevant to rant about. Machine 20/20. 20th release on Saturday the 20th December.
And that said, rant over.
We look forward to enjoying the celebration with you on the 20th.
